Heirlooms was my thesis project from University, turned life-time assignment. Each piece is made up of furniture saved from lawns before the garbage man could cart them off to their end. Like an old house every piece of furniture came with it's own character; missing pieces, scratches and dents all made up the hypothetical back story for each piece. Thinking of it from the point of view of the furniture; as if sentient, I  paint the furniture's character onto it's surface.
